Meet Bob Mayersohn
Bob Mayersohn is a proud parent, dedicated community advocate, and a successful entrepreneur. A 20 year resident of Parkland, Bob has been an active leader in our community, making a positive difference for our children and families.
He is the co-founder and President of Parkland Buddy Sports, a nonprofit organization delivering high quality sports programming for children with physical and mental disabilities.
Inspired by his son Garrett, a graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who has cerebral palsy, Bob has dedicated himself to improving the lives of young people with disabilities.
A past chair of the Broward County School Parent ESE Advisory Council, Bob effectively advocated for policy changes and today continues his dedicated advocacy for our children as the 1st Vice President of the Broward County Council of PTA’s/PTSA’s. Bob also serves as the Chair of the City of Parkland Education Advisory Board, was a founding member of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas PTSA, and is a past member of the City of Parkland Planning & Zoning Board.
Bob’s service to our community even received a Congressional Record from Congressman Ted Deutch, recognizing Bob for receiving the Broward County Public Schools’ “Champion for Students” award.
As a business leader, Bob uses his financial expertise and analytical skills to operate a successful food brokerage firm. He is an active leader in Kiwanis (and is a recipient of their ‘Ron Hawthorn Humanitarian of the Year’ honor), and many other local community organizations including Parkland Relay for Life and Chabad of Parkland.
